Everyone has a tipping point. The Horns of Notion just blew past it.
The Horns of The Country, an often unforgiving nation, have finally reached their breaking point. Horn Rot—a highly contagious and violent disease spreading among horned people—is causing widespread madness and death. Normal horns grow in ways that pierce, suffocate, and maim their owners, and the only one who can stop it is The Country’s sole epidemiologist, Lyria Gorton. But Lyria has been fighting her own battles against what she (and a select few) see as the vicious, ugly dethroning of the nation's original, more compassionate leaders, and she’s losing herself in the process.
As Lyria falls deeper and deeper into an anti-social revolt, the country reels.
Beneath it all, Lyria's daughter, Junnie, feels the weight of the problems she might inherit and tries to prepare herself for the transition.
Unfortunately, Junnie’s battles are not her own, and they won’t subside easily.

Vicious contains depictions of sex, depression and isolation, sickness, mental illness, starvation, death, ableism, child cruelty and abuse mentions, domestic abuse mention, animal cruelty, animal death, verbal abuse, violence, murder, bullying, body horror, torture, and emotional trauma.
Bosque is the last living member of the Nameless, a prominent family that ruled The Country before the Tivahs wiped them out. As he waits for his inevitable death from a fatal disease common in his family, he meets a disillusioned Tivah named Bunni. Their romance changes The Country forever.

NOT YETThe Country takes culture seriously. Hierarchy and social status will make or break you, and there's no better example than Primes and Primas. Prime Boars, an exclusive title for the top Boar in Parthia, live lives of luxury and status. Prima Kestrels are arguably the most idolized and pampered.
When over 40% of your population suffers from serious illness, it's a huge feat to paint the sick as enemies. For some, sickness is a curse upon the weak. For others, the sick are praised and loved, serving as a reminder of the realities of life. And for a select few, the sickest of them all are the key to the future.
